Hot Spot

Nightlife
A free little night time hot spot we went to was called Bip Bip. Try not to mix your mefloquine (anti-malaria meds) with sugary products like acai before you go there because as you sip said sugary acai, you might not be able to stop laughing at the name Bip Bip and your friendly café owner might have to put you out. (The café owner didn’t put me out but I was in hysterics over the name Bip Bip for about half an hour and that really annoyed her and the delivery guy). I’m not sure why the mixture of mefloquine and sugar made me feel like a drunken clown but it did. Twice. Anyway, Bip Bip was an open-air club with live samba music that spilled out into a street party on the sidewalk. It was a good taste of culture for no money at all.
